  11.        This chapter lists known bugs and workarounds for SGImeeting
  12.        SGItools Plugins at the time of release.

  15.        4.1  _K_n_o_w_n__B_u_g_s

  18.        SGImeeting SGItools Plugins have the following known bugs:

  22.        _V_i_d_e_o _c_a_p_t_u_r_e _o_n _t_h_e _D_I_V_O _a_n_d _E_V_1 _C_a_r_d_s
  23.  
  24.             Video capture does not work on an Onyx2 using a DIVO
  25.             Digital Video Card or an Indy using a EV1 Digital Video
  26.             Card.  You will get an error message or a black screen
  27.             if you try to use them.  A workaround to this problem
  28.             is to run the "_v_i_d_e_o_i_n" executable from the shell and
  29.             use screen capture on top of the image. Note: The -z
  30.             option changes the image size.  For example to get
  31.             quarter frame size, enter:

  35.        _L_i_v_e _v_i_d_e_o _c_a_p_t_u_r_e_s _s_t_o_p _u_p_d_a_t_i_n_g

  37.             Live video captures sometimes stop updating when the
  38.             video library returns errors.  To get it to start up
  39.             again, hit the stop button followed by the play button.

  42.        _S_t_r_e_a_m _p_r_e_e_m_p_t _m_e_s_s_a_g_e

  44.             The video preview button is included in the video
  45.             capture controls.  It uses "_v_i_d_e_o_i_n" to run the
  46.             previewer. Occasionally "_v_i_d_e_o_i_n" returns an error
  47.             message to the console: "_v_i_d_e_o_i_n:  _S_t_r_e_a_m _w_a_s _p_r_e_e_m_p_t_e_d
  48.             _b_y _a_n_o_t_h_e_r _P_r_o_g_r_a_m".  This error results in the
  49.             previewer disappearing prematurely.

  54.             If you have more than 2 live video captures running on
  55.             a page, you may occasionally see the error message:
  56.             "_v_i_d_e_o _d_e_v_i_c_e: _a_n _e_r_r_o_r _o_c_c_u_r_r_e_d _d_u_r_i_n_g _v_i_d_e_o
  57.             _t_r_a_n_s_f_e_r." or the Stream preempt message.  These errors
  58.             occur when the video library becomes overloaded with

  75.             captures to avoid these errors and contention in the

  81.             When an Onyx2 whiteboard receives live video captures
  82.             during a conference, it redraws itself slower than
  83.             expected.

  86.        _S_G_I_m_e_e_t_i_n_g _1._0, _S_u_n_F_o_r_u_m _c_o_m_p_a_t_i_b_i_l_i_t_y

  88.             Due to a bug in the SGImeeting 1.0 and SunForum 1.0
  89.             products, the screen and video plugins will only send
  90.             the initial image, and will not update when the source
  91.             image changes. This problem has been fixed in
  92.             SGImeeting 1.1 or later and SunForum 2.0 or later. It
  93.             is recommended that all conference participants using
  94.             the 1.0 version of SGImeeting or SunForum upgrade to
  95.             the later versions as soon as possible.

  100.             When using the screen capture plugin to capture an area
  101.             of the screen, you may occasionally see the screen
  102.             capture controls appear in the wrong color.  The colors
  103.             will correct themselves the next time you move the
  104.             mouse into the screen capture area.

  117.             than one page of the whiteboard, you should be aware
  118.             that only images in the page you are currently viewing
  119.             will update. If a member of the conference is viewing a
  120.             different page than the sender of the live images, they
  121.             will not see updating images.

  123.             When the receiver of the live images changes to the
  124.             same page as the transmitting member, then the images

  145.             When sending large screen or video images to the
  146.             whiteboard, the performance of the user interface may
  147.             become poor. The workaround is to either increase the
  148.             update delay time for the image, or decrease the size
  149.             of the image.
